Phosphorus Copper Alloys

Harris brazing alloys are a result of proprietary technology that precisely controls the phosphorus content to exacting standards.

The phosphorous content determines the precise melting temperature and performance. All Harris phos/copper and silver/phos/copper brazing alloys conform to +/- 6˚ Fahrenheit of the specified liquidus temperature. Such conformity to specification assures the operator of consistent brazing performance with every application. This advantage is apparent in automated brazing operation where control of flow temperatures can significantly reduce the incidence of rejects.

Dynaflow®

Description: an exceptionally pure phos/copper/silver brazing alloy recommended for all copper to copper and copper to brass cooling applications. This alloy has provideddecades of durability and savings to our customers. Dynaflow® is a premium, medium range silver alloy developed to mirror the performance characteristics of the 15% silver brazing filler metals. Excellent for brazing both tight and loose fitted application. It is a leading choice for operators, service technicians, and end users.

Blockade®

Description: a proprietary copper/phos/tin/ silicon brazing filler metals. Blockade® is engineered to join copper, brass, or bronze. Blockade’s innovative composition provides the ability to form a large shoulder, or cap, at the braze connection. Excellent for all industries.

Stay-Silv® 2

Description: Low-silver PhosCopper Brazing Alloy

This economical, low silver alloy, designed to broaden the melting range of Phos Copper 0, has proven useful in some specific applications where mechanical properties are not critical.

Stay-Silv® 5

Description: Medium-silver PhosCopper Brazing Alloy

These medium-range alloys are well suited where close fit-up cannot be maintained. These filler metals are somewhat more ductile than Harris 0 or Stay-Silv 2.

 Stay-Silv® 6

Description: Medium-silver PhosCopper Brazing Alloy

These medium-range alloys are well suited where close fit-up cannot be maintained. These filler metals are somewhat more ductile than Harris 0 or Stay-Silv 2.

Stay-Silv® 6HP

Description: High Phosphorus Brazing Alloy

This is a higher phosphorus version of Stay-Silv 6. The increased phosphorus content lowers the liquidus temperature approximately 90°F. This provides a smooth flowing filler metal that is self-fluxing on copper. The lower liquidus makes it an excellent choice for brass where lower temperatures are preferable.

Stay-Silv® 15

Description: PhosCopper Brazing Alloy

For many years the standard of the industry, the 15% silver alloy has proven its value. This filler metal is excellent for situations in which close fit-up does not exist, and where thermal expansion and service vibration are involved.

Ring of Fire

Description: Stay-Silv® 15 (15% silver alloy) in a convenient ring form

Ring of Fire is a great alternative to brazing rod for any brazing project. It is easy to use and gives a consistent braze every time. The Ring of Fire has the same formulation, testing and standards as the Harris signature Stay-Silv® 15 (15% silver alloy) in a convenient ring form.
